I live in philly 2-3 days a week, and i'm sorry although yall have invented cheesesteaks.....
but cheez whiz:scusthov:beef gristle:scusthov:greasy onions:scusthov:and more grease:scusthov:is not appealing to me. The best cheesesteaks i've had were not in philly. But the worst i've ever had were in philly.

Good lean cuts of steak + provolone + banana peppers, green peppers----------------------------------------------->greasy philly cheesesteak

Fixed based on my palate :youngsabo:

This thread makes me think about that episode on The Fresh Prince when Will went back to Philly.

They JUST opened one across the street from our building (I work in Two Liberty)
I work across the street breh on 17th, I wouldn't be surprised if we've walked by each other.

Before that spot opened, there used to be a greek dude and his moms working a cart on the corner. One of the best cheese steaks I ever had. I think they even had Philly awards for best cheese steak from a cart vendor.

Not a fan of Pat's or Geno's or Tony Lukes. Phillips, ishk, Jim's >>>>>>> Also a spot called The Works in Port Richmond. They bake their own bread too, soo good :ohlawd: And surprisingly, Penthouse Club has an pretty good cheese steak too.
