Put Royal Oils on your head top three times a day brehsI've been shaving my head every 24 to 48 hrs for a minute now. Only thing I swear by I learn on a black hair forum.
Something something something when you shave you strip your scalp of natural oils and if your scalp gets dry it's gets itchy and irritated, yadda yadda keep it moisturized.
Anyway. I use this shyt and I don't get itches, nor bumps.
I can shave in like 10 mins now. I used to be all careful. shyt I used to use hot water. Now I use cold water. Just get my head damp, put maybe a dime sized of shaving foam (don't use too much, just clogs up the blade) for my whole head. I go once with the grain and once against, get my shyt smooth. No little hairs, and you'll feel them. You won't see them. Once it's smooth I use after shave. Then I hit the Royal oils to keep my shyt moisturized. I put on the Royal oils in the morning, maybe some time throughout the day and always before bed. I don't think blade matter either because I've used them dollar bic blades and never had an issue. The aftercare is more important that Clippers or blades, straight razor, etc.

Warm water over head for a few minutes followed by shaving cream with anything from single razor blade to the headblade and you are good if you want the complete smooth bald look. Little aftershave on it and you are good to go. Do this DAILY.

A razor would cut closer but if OP has kinky/curly hair he might get ingrown hair bumps. That's why cats are saying to use an electric shaver or clippers. But I know some brothas can just use razors and cream and be good no problem.

I def get razor bumps on my neck or face if I use a razor though (also iirc single blades are supposed to avoid razor bumps but i never tried it out)
My skin personally is sensitive. I used a single blade before like you mentioned to try to get one of those extra crisp hairlines. Then go back over it with the black ice pencil and spray. I had all types of bumps. But if you don't got sensitive skin I would say go with a razor. It's cheaper and cut closer.honestly i never heard of ppl getting razor bumps on their head
