Titanfall 2
Doom
Rayman Legends

Titanfall 2 has the shortest campaign by a mile but also offers great online multiplayer
Doom has a much longer, top notch shooter campaign but the multiplayer is ehhh
Rayman Legends is one of the best platformers ever made and probably the best local multiplayer platformer ever.

Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
ratchet and clank, tomb raider and definitely yazuka 0, are not linear games

linear games are "level 1, level 2, level 3, etc" once you end that level, no going back, no nada

all 3 of those games, while having set areas, they do require you to go back to get shyt and upgrade

you might get an upgrade in area 3, that unlocks a part of area 1.. so you need to travel back there and unlock it to get upgrade 4... which will allow you to travel back to area 2 to unlock upgrade 5

I think Ratchet and Clank gon be my next game.

I want to play a heavy action platformer :ehh:
Ratchet and clank is not a platformer

It's a straight up third person shooter.

It's not open world, that's silly. It has different planets you go to that serve as levels. They're all linear and straight forward.

'Until Dawn' and 'Uncharted' are the two best linear PS4 exclusives I've played. 'Ratchet & Clank' is also excellent but I agree its more like semi-linear (but not open).

Uncharted 4
TLOU R - If you have not played it on the PS3
Titanfall 2 (Redbox this if you are not going to play online)
Doom/Wolfenstein New Order + Old Blood

For a platforming type of game I think I would recommend Rayman over Ratchet and Clank myself, but they aren't really the same kind of game.
