Do you have a dress code of some kind?
Clogs are good if you have a stand all day job. Nurse and cooks wear them. They might not match your work clothing though. Doc Martens shoes are good for comfort. They have a thick and heavy sole, but its good. If you can wear running shoes, that's good too.

timbs are awful for working. too heavy and not comfortable if you're gonna be standing.

if you're in construction, you BETTER have something with a steel toe.

if you're not, then get some nike ACG boots. goadome's are expensive, but they are highly comfortable.
