I remember binging the network when it first came out and seen this feud come to life. Flair looked like a dead man walking to Vader

I remember as a kid how that story was in real time. Vader had this run where he was beating the shyt out of everyone and kayfabe injuring mad opponents.

And then the whole Ric coming off back surgery, not 100% but in collision for the title match.

People legit thought Vader was gonna paralyze him. And when he won that shyt was emotional as hell for a lot of folks

It is without question the Megapowers buildup and explode. All metrics it is superior

• Money
  • Main evented the biggest show and the most watched TV broadcast in wrestling history
  • Headlined and led Wrestlemania IV and V both of which were massive success.
  • The Main Event where the megapowers were bonded drew 33 million viewers. just absolutely insane.
• Long term Story telling
  • Buildup was tight, over an entire year, and they were subltle when they needed to and hot when they needed to.
• Character development
  • Savage went from a abusive psycho to the paranoid madness we would love forever. Hogan was exposed for being an untrustworthy snake, and also a hero somehow, and liz became a legend
• Matches
  • One of the GOAT 'hulk up's ever at Mania V, and Savage became a main eventer forever at Mania IV. Their matches vs. Honkey tonk man and the twin towers were major deals and they were made as heels because of it.
