What's the best way to start working out again without weights or access to a gym?

How?

I was working out 5 days a week for 42 weeks between 2011-last year and I never looked or felt better! I'm trying to get back to that.

Bodyweight exercises. Buying some dumbbells would help a lot. Just google a dumbbell program, mix in bodyweight stuff. Should be set, except your legs won't get huge.

I'd say go to a gym. A hardcore gym, not no commercial shyt. The people in there will motivate you.

Thats what I did to start getting back in shape. worked fine.

get a jump rope if you can, do burpees, push ups and sit ups to help get you back into it. get some dumbbells if you can afford them and that'll open up a lot of exercises for you as well to do more advanced stuff.

Do burpees, go to a park and run sprints, sit ups, push ups, hold a weight of some kind and do squats/jump squats etc.

pretty much what everyone else said, you can create an entire full body workout and be better than ever. I didnt have access to a gym a few years back and did only body weight exercises(some with dumbbells) and that was the best Ive ever felt in my life gym workouts included.

Insanity Workout just needs a few yards of space. Helped me out a lot. Also may want to try a local park with jungle gym if you're in an area where there is one.

Seriously though, cosign the burpees, body weight exercises (squats, pushups, elevated pushups, hindu pushups), and running, as well as the bars if you have a jungle gym.

This is what my girlfriend and I do: fitnessblender and some home exercises. Not a lot of equipment, but it's not going to bulk you up either. But you can do crossfit-type workouts and buy all the equipment for a home gym. It's cheaper than joining a gym. And it's free to jog around the neighborhood or to use school fields for sprinting.
