We used to have fur, but running after prey in a fur coat wasn't good for our health, so, we dropped the fur for the most part, except in certain areas for protection/insulation. Facial hair is part of that protection.
We never had fur. Negroes never had fur. Beards signify manhood like a lions mane.

I managed to grow a full beard for the first time in my life last year and shyt is overrated. :scust:

Eating is a fukking nightmare. Constantly getting hair from my upper lip caught in my mouth. Yes, I did trim it but it’s still gets in the way.

Maintaining it is cumbersome. Having to make sure it’s got enough moisture in it for the day, brushing and combing it.

I won’t lie, it definitely looked good on me but I went back to having a goatee. I missed seeing my jawline (as did my woman). Maybe I’ll grow it again when im
Much older but trust me, it ain’t all that.

How long did it take to grow a full beard?

About 4-5 months. I’ve always just kept a goatee since high school. I didn’t think I had the genetics to grow a full beard. So I always kept a goatee, especially since I worked in corporate.

Then during lockdown, I didn’t see my barber for over 6 months, and I grew a somewhat patchy beard, but it was the most facial hair I saw on the sides of my face. Since WFH permanently I thought “why not?”.

Then last year, I just decided to see if I could do it and to my surprise, I could. It took patience but I just kept brushing and combing out the weak areas, and it all grew out.

None of these answers are true smh. I’m a anthropologist on the side and me and my colleagues found that humans evolved to grow beards thousands of years ago.

Back in the day when we used to live outside and be worried about animals, light skin brehs would stick out at night time. Too many of them were getting ate. So over time, we evolved to grow beards so light skin men would have dark hair on their face and be more camouflaged at night.

This is where the saying “you can’t trust a man with no facial hair” was created. Cause our ancestors wouldn’t trust a man without facial hair because the prey could see them at night and might follow him back to the village.
