Great musician/guitarist. Very creative songwriter.

However He was a c00n with his obsession with white women and never speaking out on Black issues...I know he was in the scene for like what 3 years? But still...didnt seem like he had any racial awareness or sense of pride as a Black man...

He had a free concert in Harlem with a Black crowd weeks after Woodstock and they threw bottles and eggs at him

dude didnt even make it to age 30. hard to say if he would have ever spoken out on any black issues cuz he died so young.

Like Bruce Lee, he came, did his thing and got taken off this mortal coil at what I can only assume was his talent's apogee 'cause of Pawgs.
I ain't too invested in breh's personal life since he seemed like the type of free wheeling black man to just do drugs and get it in while he can. Even though he prolly shagged alot of women on both sides, he really did cling to some really deplorable white, groupie bytches .

But as a guitar player, where my main focus is on him, dude changed the game. While everybody wanted to sound like the Goddamned Beatles, he wanted to sound like something you ain't never seen before and won't ever hear again. Plus his death supposedly gave birth to the overweight a$$hole that is the God Yngwie Malmsteen, so...there's that too.

One day it's Hendrix that made him pick up the guitar, the other day it's how he spent time in a famous swedish lutheir's shop as some sort of school credit program. He's all over the place with it, bu the goes back to the Hendrix story alot.
