What's the consensus on High-end digital watches?

Like the Gucci or Movado joints? I love em, and plan on copping the Movado Bold... but inside I feel like maybe that's money wasted. Gonna cop the Gucci next.

I don't like watches/timepieces much and was always a G-Shock dude from before the hype (since mid90s). But in last 3 years I seen the Gucci, and now the Movado. Any other big names have digi watches?

Yeah, I know people that built their watch up from a grand second hand rolex, kept trading it with cash till you got an eight grand one or something.
