I became a pizza snob in Ohio of all places.

The town I lived in was supposedly a mob stronghold and the handful of excellent mom and pop pizza shops are a holdover from that era.

If you brought pizza from a chain to work or any other event, you'd get laughed out of the building.

And the different shops were all very different, stylewise. It was pretty dope.

Marcos? Don't know that I ever ate it on purpose.
Youngstown?

It’s definitely not the worst, but it’s too expensive for how mid the quality is.

Might as well just order a deep dish pizza with extra sauce from little caesers for half price
Marcos is expensive??? I see a LARGE 1 topping for 9.99. That ain't but a like 3 bucks more than a Little Caesar. That was why I fukked with them in the first place.

Probably the best major chain pizza in my local area. However its greazy as fukk, I had some over the weekend and did the napkin on top of the cheese and watched that white napkin turned orange. Much better mom and pop pizza shops around my way tho

Nikka that’s flavor!

One spot was great for sheet pizza. Like: 2 foot by 3 foot rectangle cut into little squares.

They would put the meat and sauce on top of the bread with a layer of cheese on top of that. (Normally the meat goes on top of the cheese).

The ones that specialized in round pies were pretty traditional. The diff in quality was the difference between a dollar menu fast food burger vs a sit down restaurant burger.

I'm from Michigan/Ohio so I've obviously had it as it's originally an Ohio chain. It's good chain pizza but I prefer Donato's as far as Ohio based chains go. LaRosa is trash, as is everything that passes for food in Cincinnati, don't ever eat it.
