I literally cannot watch that movie because of that scene. :::shudder:::: I don't care about Norton's character's redemption arc, that was just unforgivable.

Besides American History X, I thought the opening to Scream was pretty gruesome and shocking because at the time Drew Barrymore was billed as the star so no one saw that coming

The bait and switch they pulled with Barrymore's character was absolutely brilliant.

As much as I love the franchise, I really hope they don't mess with a Scream 5......out of respect for Wes.

There's the comedic bits every now and then, but Scream certainly set the tone during that opening.
