Marc and Taz were my OG's. I came up under them and learned a lot of the tricks of the trade from them. Game hasn;t been the same since they went their separate ways. I remember when they used to shut down Okie St during Howard Homecoming and flood the whole block. Gilbert's ridiculous birthday party. Inauguration 08. Even 2012. I remember that red room was soo lit and hov dropped the My President is Black freestyle for the first time. Sheesh. Watching that from the stage on the 2nd floor. Crazy memories.
I don't even know where the people who used to club go now. Like 5000 people would legit be in the same venue. You would lose your homies in Dream/Love and wouldn't even trip. Catch them at the car at the end of the night and relive the tales of fukkery.

Maybe, it depends on when he was in DC. The DTLR on 14th closed a couple years ago and when he mentioned transitioning from cac to black and heading east that would be the one on H and onto Benning

Ya'll in here talking about gogo. New Impressionz 3-6-09 @ Kimmie institute is one of the best gogo CDs EVER! My personal favorite. This new younger generation had no idea what they're missing out on with gogo. I grew up on the death of it 2006-2010 and I really feel bad for these youngins that ain't get to experience it. Apparently they still play some gogo at their parties like Reactions "train". That leaves me messed up because that was my era (2009) I might have been there when they first started the train s/o to the Wild Boyz (aye wild aye aye aye). Well it's the whole fukkking creek creek creek!

Black lounges and strip clubs I need answers
DC strip clubs are trash. Go to the ones in Maryland. Fuegos, bazz and crue (I think this might be closed), etc.
Macombo Lounge is the best strip club in DC IMO. It's a hole in a wall spot, dime black/mixed chicks everywhere, no cover and 10$ lap dances.
