Whats the difference between Google+ and an Apple ID

An Apple ID is the login you use for just about everything you do with Apple, including using iCloud to store your content, downloading apps from the App Store, and buying songs, movies, and TV shows from the iTunes Store.

An Apple ID is your user name (Google+ profile across google services) for everything you do with Apple: Shop the iTunes Store (playstore), enable iCloud on all your devices (google+ backups), buy from the Apple Online Store ( Buy Google hardware from the playstore), make a reservation at an Apple Retail Store, access the Apple Support website, and more ( and more ugh). You are required to have an Apple ID for Facetime, photo stream, Apple email and imessage. Google requires a Google+ profile for Hangouts

You know youtube have paid content right and a streaming service coming right? Youtube is no longer standalone. Youtube is Google+ there is no difference. Its the video side of google+, like hangouts is the communication side, google+ stream is the social network side, Android is the mobile side, Gooogle maps is the location part, Google drive is the storage side etc....you need one account to switch between these services instead of needing to log in and out to use each service. Thats what your google ID is.

you asked whats the difference between apple id and google+ and i gave a difference. I'm not really interested in being led into a debate about it

apple's services have been consistent, you use your apple id for everything from day 1. google had services that could be used separately then one day decided to change everything at the expense of the way the services had been traditionally used. i don't want to START ALL OVER on youtube just because google wants to force their social network on me. i spent years building my youtube experience

Pretty sure that everyone gets a google + page activated with your email account these days. Its intermingled with your email, youtube and google hangouts especially if you go to the website to read your email. They got rid of G Chat for Hangouts which runs out of Google +. I bet half of those 500 Million users don't even realize they have a "active" google + page

i agreed to do whatever I'm doing with apple when i signed up. google pulled a switch after i signed up, then wants to trash all my progress. that sir is the difference
