I said: "slavery and it's after effects, but an injustice anywhere, is an injustice anywhere"

Yes, but I bet the black murderer of the white boy didn't walk away free. That's what matters more than what scale publicity it was: whether or not justice was done for the victim and his family.

i read both cases.

The main difference was THE POLICE INVOLVEMENT

For marty south carolina police went on a witch hunt for the 4 guys compared to florida ( of course ) police who waited till national attention then they started doing there investigation

:salute: to south carolina police

:pacspit: to florida police departments

It is true that the Marley Lion case received little news coverage outside the Charleston area, but the comparison to the Trayvon Martin case is something of a false equivalency. In the Trayvon Martin case, there was never any doubt as to the identity of his killer (George Zimmerman), yet several weeks elapsed before the shooter was charged with a crime and taken into custody — a fact which created controversy and fostered the public perception (correct or not) that the case would never have been adjudicated had it not been widely publicized in the media, and that the race of the victim was a significant issue in the decision about whether to prosecute the shooter (as well as an element of the crime itself). In the

Marley Lion case, the identity of the killer(s) was initially unknown until likely suspects were determined through police investigation; once those suspects were identified, they were promptly arrested and charged with a multiplicity of crimes, hence Lion's murder was never associated with a public perception of "justice denied" or the suggestion that his race was an element of either the commission or prosecution of his killing.

Most white men think they are victims. No group of men complains more then the young white male
This is true, that's how petty they are tho. Black people felt anger in trayvons case, they felt anger because another case wasn't shown, which most probably didn't even know about anyway. They're corny.

I know how they're similar: When you juxtapose them, they both make it very clear how institutionalized racism makes it very easy for one group to get justice and the other to get dikked over by law enforcement.

Martin/Zimmerman made the news because of the potential of another non-Black getting away with murdering a Black man.

I didn't read about the case. What was national-news worthy about Lion getting murdered?
