I been a Wrestling Fan since i was a kid and probably will be for the rest of my life, thing is i never been to a wrestling event. With Raw coming here on 3/3 and us (chicago) being one of the best wrestling crowds and this cm punk thing has my hype we all know this will be fukkery at its best. im 20 now and can buy my own ticket but i just started working so i might not make that show due to ring side tickets being sold so im leaning toward WWE Payback.. but whats it,like seeing it live brehs??? what was your firstexperience like?? any stories

My first experience was a good one. I was too young to really remember a couple other shows I had been to so the first one I remember as a kid...it was 4+ hours long because they taped like Superstars and a couple other shows plus a Saturday Night's Main Event. Hogan wrestled like 3 times, I saw Undertaker too and LOD, I think Steamboat was doing his The Dragon gimmick where the lights would go off and he'd blow this fire into the air :blessed:

My favorite live experiences.. there's a couple. I've been to plenty of RAWs and SD!s but one thing I'll always take from it, I was shocked when I saw Trish Stratus and Dawn Marie. I saw them both up close as I had seats ringside and they were every bit as fine as they are on TV. Trish was a goddess and Dawn's ass had me and the homies like :whoo: :wow:

Lesnar and Big Show are huge muthafukkas.. it's hard to appreciate them on TV, they are huge.

Backlash 2003 was great. I was out visiting some family and we went to this show. Again, had some pretty good seats and listen, don't believe the piped in shyt for Goldberg. He had a little section that was riding him heavy but that building was at least 80% behind The Rock. The atmosphere was crazy. Makes sense though being as it was the northeast, heavy WWE territory, no way they'd cheer Goldberg over The Rock.

i went way back in the day at skydome for raw. shyt was pretty crazy as a kid because the show was packed. The only 2 things i remember from it were the Brood's entrance and stone cold had a match with kane or the rock i can't remember which one.

I've been so many times I've forgotten.

But, IMO, getting ringside seats or within the first several rows is the ONLY way to go. When you sit far away you don't really feel like part of the show.

But al in all, depending upon what's going on it can be great or very average.

These days I wouldnt go to a house show at all. But when Austin was around, and Rock was around or before that, Hogan....I'd definitely go to a house show. However the one cool thing about house shows is that the wrestlers do break character a bit more often and interact w/ the crowd since it's not on TV.

It's awesome if the crowd is alive. But if it's your first time you'll notice two things right off the bat. Pyro is LOUD (you feel it just as much as you hear it), and no commentary is disorienting.

How do the wrestlers hide blade jobs from the live crowd?

Also anyone here ever been to a event where they had a buried alive match? Its crazy that at SS 03, Goldberg-HHH was the last match of the night which means in Kayfabe, they pretty had a match after Taker got killed by Kane and his dead body was still in the arena :dwillhuh:

Also is it true that Undertaker sneaks from backstage to under the ring during commercial break right before he does the "magically appear in the ring" spot?

Does Triple H really carelessly throws his water bottle in the crowd or he tosses it to a stage hand off camera?

One thing i noticed is that the guys who can't work well make their matches look really fake and choreographed in person. All the main eventers pull off the illusion better

It's always fun even if the show is wack on TV. It's an entire different experience at ringside though and if you can afford it get as close as possible.
