Westbrook himself generally played pretty poorly against GS all of last year

As for the thread, I don't see a gap and never really did see one between Wall and Russ
As a team they lost all those games against GS. I ain't caping for him I saw him turn the ball over in crucial moments on some dumb shyt but KD was doing the same thing playing the same brand of hero ball.

John Wall is faster than Russ and a better passer, but it's not a 100% sound comparison cause he has much better players around him

I also truly believed russ was on another level until we okayed them nr the differences in IQ showed. Russ trying to do everything was unsustainable. He went off only to shoot his team out the game and had to sit very early in the game cause it became out of reach.

@A. R and i been hyping wall the entire season. Russ a beast but ive played with guys like that and unless youre a bytch ass who'll keep quiet and let dude have his way it gets old playing D then going the opposite way for dude to Jack and shot or look for his own.. Come back and hes not playing D and just wants a free rebound.. Then its rinse repeat. I dont care what his numbers are. Very soon itd dawn on you that hes using you for numbers when he stops doing a certain thing cause he got ten of them. This season okc was going nowhere and they invested in inflating russys stats.

Wall still has more to prove. There are mny good pgs but he and steph ate the easiest to build around and hes the best two way one. Coachs dream

Curry aside, there really isn't a big difference between all the top PGs in the league. Wall's definitely bridged the gap on Westbrook this season. But what one must remember is that Wall's surrounded by better talent (well more specifically a better starting lineup), he certainly wouldn't look as good if he had to play with OKC's roster.
Curry shot under 40% from the perimeter this year :camby:

this assertion that he shoots his team out the game when he's the only reason his team is in the game needs to stop. westbrook has an unsustainable 40% usage for a reason, his usage is that high because he's expected to do everything on that roster. wall for example can take multiple plays off and let the offense funnel through someone else on the team. westbrook hasn't had that luxury since harden was on the team. watch the 2011 team you will see westbrook play off ball more hes no longer allowed that opportunity .Durant has never and is not a secondary ballhandler . he can make the correct pass but that's about it. primarily hes a scorer. thunder management has failed westbrooks career by not surrounding him with creators

Maybe it's not true in general but it can be asserted and tested. When he doesn't believe his other teammates can help him win games and has that 40 percent usage. How much damage do you think he can do? He's human and if you game plan for the fact the ball will be in his hands 40 percent of the time you could manage your energy... Be more balanced until he runs out of steam. No one else will be in a situation where theyve taken enough shoes to be warm enough or on fire. It's what the wizards principally did with Westbrook and Melo. And you could in theory do that against any high usage player. Westbrook was a double edged sword. He was the reason they won.. And a big factor in the reason they lost. Go watch that wizards game against OKC and see what I mean before you respond. Before the game I didn't know how things would go but as it unfolded my perspective became crystal. I didn't think they'd go anywhere this playoffs despite having the MVP. Kudos to Westbrook for what he did but a fraction of that was smoke and mirrors

Edit: and 30 10 and 10 approximately is impressive but at 40 percent usage if his team was producing at his rate it'd be his stats times 10/4 = 80 pats 25 rebounds and 25 assists which is underwhelming

so like games 5 and 6 last year where Durant went 10 for 30 shooting more shots both games :deadrose: :russ:. furthermore that's too much shots for any one player. when main options are taking over 18 you have to look at the roster.
it's always Russ fault for a loss or why he left but nobody wanna talk about KD choking in the WCF last year :patrice:

this simply isn't true

In the 1 game OKC won this playoffs Westbrick shot 1 three point shot.

In the 4 losses he shot 48 of them and only hit 13.
