Grunfield not getting tired. Scott Brooks likely will. I don't think Ted pays as much attention to this team as he needs too right now. Wall wants out.

I know this, you probably know this.

Ted will never fire Ernie Grunfeld, his one redeeming quality is finding value in trades to fix his previous disasters. Like Ariza and Okafor for Rashard Lewis or Jan Vesely. Or the eventual trade away Gortat and a first rounder for a center that's going to backfire.

No matter what happens the one reoccurring thread in all this is Grunfeld, but as history's been proven he's untouchable.

But Grunfeld made those disasters

It doesn't change Ted's Modus Operandi though. :manny:

Grunfeld is the longest reigning GM without a chip :gucci: I guarantee he would still be GM if we went into a rebuild in 2-3 seasons.

Literally Ernie has done EVERYTHING that could be grounds for a firing, the only thing that might stop him from ruining the wiz is if it comes down to Wall vs Ernie

Ted really doesn't care about the Wizards, or Ernie knows where the bodies are buried.

Wall is signed for the next half decade and will take up 35% of the cap after next year.

Ted is going with Wall clearly.

We don’t even know how much Grunfail makes it when his contract expires

His 2016 offseason is just the latest franchise killing maneauver

Pay $34M for 3 Centers :snoop:

Not trying to be an a$$hole or anything, but Wall is probably the worst star player you could have leading your team into the future.

I think he'll be the poster child of how bad the designated player exception can go. It's such a shame really.

And he's 8 years in now. What can a new coach do with someone who doesn't even move without the ball or play defense consistently?

It's one thing to be a streaky shooter or even a bad shooter... but to not play defense.. that was Wall's calling card.

nah, the day of reckoning is near.

This team is nowhere near a title contender, yet has the 4th highest payroll.

If this team doesn't get to the 2nd round of the playoffs, I can see Grunfeld being let go and a few players being moved.

Leonsis is a hardline owner, and doesn't want to give players much and I doubt he wants to continue paying Luxury Tax. he tries to be really cheap.

I saw this trade on RealGM

Washington trades: Mahinmi, Morris, Meeks, 2019 1st, $3M cash
Dallas trades: Matthews, Noe
l

We save $5.9M instantly, which gets us out of the luxtax. We dump Mahinmi's final year. We keep our 2018 pick.

Wall signed that extension. He ain't going anywhere.

Also, Ted is at every home game sitting right next to the bench. So, if he ain't paying attention someone needs to be bringing that up cause there's a real possibility they don't make the playoffs
