Hot 97 gets hate left and right.

I agree that shyt was wack during the K-Foxx era, but know they replaced her with Laura Stylez sexy voice and Ebro has settled the fukk down. The morning has finally found their lane.

Ebro stays on the braggadocious NY tough guy act. But that's just a Vince McMahon gimmick.

I used to hate Cipha and Rosenberg, but after the Combat Jack interview, it's obvious that Cipha is probably the realest DJ on the airwaves.

Also Rosenbergs "The Realness" shyts on Charlamagne "Donkey of the Day"

He's a wolf in sheeps clothing. That "Gee, guys, thank you for lettin' me into your culture, I'm just a balding, old white Jewish guy te-he-he :troll:" act is to rock us to sleep, cuz, he' quick to tell us what's missin' in "our" culture.

Hot 97 quick to talk that "WE THE REAL, WE THE CULTURE," then when ppl ask about the playlist....":guilty: We'll you not in the big leagues, b, the bosses..."

Let's not forget them bigging up all things mainstream (bowing down to pop star Nicki Manji, troll us with Yeezus, suggesting white people have more soul than blacks even though Blurred Lines sounds like a Marvin Gaye record)

I came in to say the hypocrisy...... Ebro is trying to play both sides and failing

He's done a lot of interviews.... I wish he'd go head to head w/someone w/some kind of structured argument and legit points to make... homie is full of shyt

I don't even live in NY breh.

I listen to their sound cloud podcast which cuts the music out :win:
If u lived there + grew up listening to the station you'd understand.

I just moved down to NC after ~28 yrs in NYC. Hot 97's fall from grace was one of the saddest things I've seen in the city, culturally. But it's just reflective of the cultural decline of the city overall.

I wish I did, because Hot 97 is a million times better than that cornball Russ Parr
