last games i've pre-order: 2 souls, gta5, watch dogs, and batman

i dont think pre-ordering is necessary with so many stores around, but companies are basing so much on those numbers, that they keep including game related content, which is bullshyt....so now i pre-order based on the extras being offered...if it's some shyt like a mission, character, power, etc. i'll do it...if it's just an extra skin or something mp related, i dont...

I pre-ordered BF4 and need for speed with my PS4, but only cause I wanted a few games when it was delivered. Last game I pre-ordered before that was GTA IV. Kind of pointless now since there's always a store that will carry the game you're looking for.

I can guarantee you that for every thread that gets made that isn't pro Xbox, Courtdog will turn around and make a thread with the sole purpose of deflecting attention away from it. It goes down like clockwork.

I usually wait until the last week or few days before a game comes out to pre-order because I want to know what the midnight launch status is going to be. Last game I preordered was Tomb Raider on steam. I didn't preorder The last of Us as I copped it a day early at a mom and pop store and the preorder bonuses weren't enticing enough. If the preorder bonuses aren't valuable to me then I just look for it and buy it 1-3 days early.

I get not preordering to wait for a price drop
I get pre ordering because it's cheap (like me and golden glove)
I kind of understand preordering for the bonus junk, (I don't really care for it but whatever floats your boat)
But I don't get why If you know you're going to get a game within a week of launch for example why not try to get a deal on it so you get some gift cards, preorder items etc.

Usually the preorder items aren't of interest to me. The last few games I was about to buy day 1 had basically nothing of interest to me. I'll preorder PC games all the time since I can't get it nowhere else but online but physical games I could wait.
