What's the line between a person sanely becoming or just being insane?

Is there a line? I don't know why but this Bruce Jenner shyt has me wondering this. Say for instance dude developed an addiction to plastic surgery, similar to a heroin junkie. At a certain point he's just like fukk it I might as well become a woman so I can have breast surgery and get my dikk cut off. What's the distinction between him making this rational decision as an adult, or him suffering from some severe body dismorphic disorder that requires psychiatric help?

If we commit people for self mutilation, bulimia, anorexia and all things that free thinking adults do, the why not something like this? Do we accept that this is a conscious decision by a man, who fathered several kids and raised them as a man? Or do we say he is fukking batshyt crazy. If we do say he is crazy then what does that say about other post op transgenders?

With that said, I'm not going to discount the legions of young men and women who wholeheartedly feel that they aren't the gender they have been bred to believe they are in their mind. Part of me accepts that maybe these types should be able to undergo treatment/surgery to transition to the gender they believe they are in their head, the other part believes they should just accept who they are, and the other part simply doesn't care what others do in their lives and doesn't have enough knowledge on gender issues to really comment. I just think this society enables too much fukkery which leads people to do crap like this

I don't think it works like that for the most part. Bruce seemed like he was lying to himself for years, being an Olympian and shyt, he felt like he had to be this macho dude when he wanted to be a chick. I don't know... I don't think twice about it, if he wants to be a woman, go for it. All in all, it's not up to us to accept or reject any of this shyt. He's damn near a century old, it's his choice. If people are bothered by this beyond the headline, you need to reevaluate yourself for a moment... unless you're this nikka's doctor or something.

Bruce Jenner is actually pretty average for transitioning. A lot of trans women transition very late because of various reasons. My guess is that they get stuck in making a living for themselves and never have the time or money to do what it takes to transition for years.

That's why my perspective on it is different now. You can say all you want until it's your flesh and blood that has those thoughts and wants to change themselves.

One of my employees is a trans woman and she said her surgery just to get a vagina was like 24,000 she said all together it was like 60k including therapy and everything. She also said they make you wait until you're older to make sure it isn't just a "phase". That would suck get your peen turned into a vagina then decide you don't want to be a woman anymore
