My daughter was 8. So she could read pretty good.
She'd do stupid stuff like she downloaded a soundboard app, and she'd hide and play the fire alarm sound and have me sprint downstairs knowing she was downstairs not knowing I was concerned about her and not the damn house.
Anyway I typed up a fake letter from her doctor. Addressed it to her, had the letterhead and all. I got the mail and was like "You got mail..." She's like "a letter for me?" It basically said "on xxxxx (the date 2 days later) you have to go to the doctor and get 8 shots."
And I typed up where she had to get the shots, and why, rabies vaccine, flu shot....I typed up the time she needed to be there to check in early and to wear a short sleeved shirt and to eat a small breakfast before.
It was fukked up, she could read and comprehend very well. She was reading the first two sentences aloud to herself. Then she stopped. And I could see where she got to the part she needed to comprehend because her eyes went back then she was like
It was instant tears after that. I asked her what's wrong and she says she has to get 8 shots and she hates shots. I immediately told her it was a joke. But she kept on pushing the letter on me saying "It's not a joke, it's in the letter!"
I told her I wrote the letter and it was a prank. She was mad mad. Then everyone laughed. She doesn't think it's funny to this day, but she hasn't pranked me since.
