Probably Xzibit -At The Speed Of Life

This was when itfirst dropped, I was at the CD shop checking out the one rack of Hip Hop they had back then, saw this and I had never heard of him before but it looked cool so I copped it. Turned out to be one of my fav album ever, still bump it today.

Another random one was when I first started buying cds with my own money, mum wouldn’t let me get anything with a parental advisory sticker on it so I was searching for those and found a Fu Schnickens album, don’t remember which one but it was a good buy at the time.

I ALMOST copped the first Gravediggaz album when it was still called nikkamortis but I ended up getting something else. I didn’t realise RZA was in the group back then and if I had known I probably would have bought it because I was a Wu stan since I first heard 36 Chambers. :snoop:

CRU- Da Dirty 30.

Random, because all I heard was Just Another Case. I had no idea who these dudes were. Ended up being very pleased with the album.

DJ Honda HII

Still don't know what made me buy it, but it is now one of my go to albums to bump in the fall.

:mjlol: @ OP listing Lil Flip and Chamilliomaire as random purchases

As far as mine, I bought this King Gordy ‘The Entity’ album solely due to his Eminem/D12 affiliation. I was listening to a ton of random Detroit artists at that time and bought this on a whim. I remember it having a couple good songs, but as a whole, it was just alright. I bought it from a Sam Goody (paid $15:picard::hhh:) and it came with a bunch of flyers and a couple sampler type cds from random artists. Some good memories :mjcry:

I could never find this album anywhere
What also made me buy it was the fact that it was the last copy in the store. But the fact that a big chain record store had it really shocked me.

We got a mom & pop store ran buy 2 middle aged white dudes and them dudes are surprisingly knowledgeable about hip hop. They're my go-to for the rare stuff and vinyls. Amazing that they're still in business, in this climate.

Damn I feel dumb as fukk I was a kid it was the 90s can’t remember shyt

Only thing I remember is for sure buying no limit albums. I know there’s a lot more shytty cds I bought. On the opposite side the best random cd I remember buying was big l. I just grabbed it cuz My parents were ready to dip. Best choice ever

My god master p was a genius with those cd cases. Every single person who is the same age as me took there money to Sam goody or whatever and bought at least one no name rapper cd

That Mercedes( I think that was the name)cd pic in all the sleeves :banderas:

Another random as fukk album I got was Sporty Thievez. Where I was living at the time, I had to import a lot of Hip shop albums, this shop would only get the very mainstream stuff on the shelf but they could still order in stuff that I couldn’t get anywhere else. Someone had ordered this album in hut never bought it and the guy who owned the store asked if I wanted it. Gave it to me cheap too.
