Nah, Your average table comes with a bottle stipend off GP, which is why they cost so much. The point of the table is to get the bulk of the money up front/guaranteed.

Don't know what kinda club you go to that doesn't ask for the table money up front. Chances are if they aren't trying to get all the money up front, it's a shytty club, there's no real demand for the table, and they keep the initial prices low to get anyone in that bytch.
