I'm almost finished rereading the autobiography of Malcolm X. I halfway read it back in the 6th grade. Shii is fcked up bc a lot of what was written back in '64 is still relevant to a 23 yr old.

I did the HBCU thing in Atlanta, but I'm soon moving to Texas for my first job. I like the pan African teachings, some of the NOI teachings, I even went to Temple 15 on the south side of ATL when I lived up there. Both my parents are down south christians and they think most of that stuff is "reverse racism". I I don't agree.

I told myself a while back the best thing j can do for myself is secure a bag. I'm blessed in that my current job pays well, but it got me thinking what's next. A lot of the brehs I grew up with ain't tryna do shii, and some of the brehs I went to school with aren't thinking about the race thing bc they can't find work.

I'm just curious as to the coli bc there are a lot of so called militants. A nikka is seeking guidance:mjcry:

What is YOUR next step...or what is the next step for the black man (collectively)? :jbhmm:

two vastly different questions.

The best things you can personally do as a young professional (in my opinion :manny:) are the following:

Focus on yourself. Make yourself the most educated, motivated, healthy, and compassionate, person you can. Move wisely...the next few years will catapult you into your "real" future (you live way beyond your 20s )

Once you are in a place where you are comfortable financially, physically...spiritually (if that's your thing) then start focusing on small problems you can help with. Maybe donate one weekend a month mentoring kids or volunteering at a local park...start a fund raiser at your work, get into local politics if you feel inclined. Make it a priority to spend a little time outside of YOU and do things for your community. Make your community a little better than it is.

Those would be my suggestions for what your "next step" could be :yeshrug:

OP.

Education in general is the best pursuit, not anything ideological.

So seeking a brand of wisdom automatically boxes you in to their dogma. Dogma is the opposite of science.

Read all that stuff you listed then read Hinduism then read Rush Limbaugh then read every book in the bookstore.

Then sit back and decide for yourself what to make of all of it. Some of it is useless and some of it is practical and beneficial.

You gotta be able to tell what's actual fact from speculation and manipulation.

No one 'ism'ism I gonna contain everything you need to know. And usually about 60% of any one 'ism'ism is bullshytism.

Accumulate land & resources..... That's literally my only mission... Thats all I can do at this point.

I feel the "war" has already been fought and we've already lost long before I was born.... Im just tryna make it easier for those coming after me
