Yes and no. Reasons being as these games tend to make being spotted or fighting much more dangerous and quick impending death for you than it does by not fighting. Usually getting into firefights in these games are a lot harder than some gun happy game like Uncharted, Gears, etc. So sometimes, taking the unseen approach makes the game actually easier.
Very rarely does a game truly penalize you for not going stealth. Even in MGS its easier to kill people than go fully stealthy.

Because sometimes the bad guy ending sucks.

Knights of the Old Republic had a great dark side ending. So did the first Mass Effect.

I try to have a good playthrough, a bad playthrough, and then a "What if that was really me?" playthrough.

I usually take the righteous route unless being an a$$hole opens me up to missions. sometimes nikkas bring that a$$hole out and those situations aren't my fault.....

Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
when i'm given the choice, I always pick the azzhole option :demonic: I swear playing as renegade shep in the mass effect trilogy was one of the funniest things in game history :russ: (punching that reporter breh :mjlol:throwing nikkas out widows and shyt, gotdayum :wow: killing my homie wrex...had to pour some liquor out for him)

ditto walking dead, life is strange, game of thrones, witcher etc. that's why its weird to me when you look at the global stats and and most people pick the nicest, most accomodating options :stopitslime:how boring and predictable is that?

i'm gonna be a dikk in until dawn as well when I pick that up :troll:
i try to play both of these games out... putting myself as the character first.. which is usually the good guy.. and gets you the most rewards, best ending, and usually matches the storyline

then i'll play through being a complete and utter dikk.... but then i'm still out here doing nice shyt and saving the world during cut scenes... it never matches up right

I usually take the high ground. Except on the Witcher 3. Evil mufukkas got chopped up most of the time unless I felt I could get something really good out of them. Usually both decisions had repercussions.

Evil playthroughs are very amusing though.
