Whats the point of going somewhere else to get drinks after eating at a restaurant that had drinks

I never understood when people eat at one place, then leave to go get drinks from another joint, why not go to a spot that you can do both. I mean most restaurants sell drinks as well

I prefer to go to a bar that has a lot of drink specials..most restaurants dont.
