It's actually a food reheater but didn't nobody in the black community, America or abroad used that shyt for that purpose because without proper Maintenance, that was always the first part of the stove that started rusting/flaking and was only used to keep extra pot lid covers and baking sheets.

Its for keeping the food warm... But that shyt is so low to the floor I wouldn't trust eatin anything that comes out that drawer...

storage of flat baking items, not putting my food basically on the floor. i always just used the "plate warmer" setting on my oven to keep food warm

Bottom drawer is a broiler on my stove but I rarely use it.
that’s just a extra spot to put your pots and pans
