What...the dude in Princess and the Frog wasn't black?
To clear up the confusion, this is the look they use when they cast him live at the Disney Parks and events.

So this is the official answer.
He was creole.
He was mixed, but imo I wouldn't really disclaim him
If you have a black prince and a black princess then it's automatically "a black movie". If you have a black prince with a nonblack princess then it's THE LIBRUL LEFT TRYING TO FORCE THEIR ANTI WHITE MALE AGENDA!1!1! You see how much flack a black woman got for playing Ariel. Imagine if it was some random non black girl cast along side Michael B. Jordan as Prince Eric. The internet would've shut down entirely. We'd be having this conversation via mail.
Aside from that, Disney princess type movies have mostly been geared toward girls. The princes were always basically side characters - except for maybe Aladdin. Was being a Disney Prince something you aspired to be growing up? Exactly. It's unlikely a studio would risk such a high level of backlash for such an uncertain, but surely minimal ROI.
The better question would be why haven't there been more black action heroes and cartoon leads.
I really don’t care about a black Disney prince
And people don’t give a fukk about princes in movies, princesses are far more popular
Black superheroes >>> black Disney characters
Thats a fukking lie, the outrage PALES in comparison to the rage white male nerds have when theres a black man being casted in their beloved nerd franchises: MCD as Kingpin, Idris Elba in Thor and Finn in Star Wars who was an ORIGINAL character. The crackers were enraged that Finn was going to be the love interest for the lead female, thats why they hated it so much BEFORE it came out. When the black girl got casted as Star Fire on Teen Titans, it was mostly whiteboys who were clowning her. This casting is nothing but a shot to black men because the love interest HAS to be nonblack. As a matter of fact I can see this being like NadiaL: Secret of Blue Water or Disney's Atlantis (and even Pochahontas and James Cameron's Avatar): the princess of a darkskinned exotic race of people falls in love with the white skinny/nerdy foreigner who has the courage and lives happily ever after. I already see where they are going with this.
White males will NOT be enrage like this like the aforementioned black male characters White female outrage always PALE in comparison compared to white male outrage, FACTS. This only reconfirms their beliefs that they are entitled to every race of nonwhite women on the globe after they conquered the men. THats why they are casting this one as black. Its ok for the exotic savages to be black, but ALWAYS let the prince/love interest be white. THis is the same tired trope since Dancing with Wolves. ANd black men should not have it. (I bet the father is a Mufasa like character as well).
Ya'll nikkas are seriously underestimating the importance of a black Disney prince, when the next generation of black women star bedwenching on epidemic levels don't say I didn't earn ya'll

There is way too much energy being put into this Little Mermaid reboot. Fact of the matter is the Princes character was never that deep. Black men have way more power in cinema than Black women how is this even an argument.
definitely more so.
Remind me where the "black prince" is again in Disney?
Remind me again where I can find the show "Black Boys Rock!"
Remind me again, what Political party praises black men as the "back bone" of the party?
I'm just curious...thanks in advance.
