I don't like taking photos and seeing people I used to know looking super happy having lives (even maybe when they don't ) fukks with how I feel about myself and how much time I spend on the coli. :dame: I don't need all that inner turmoil right now.
Thanks for your honesty bro. I truly appreciate it.

The reason I'm asking is that I know (myself included until recently) avoid social media for various reasons. Some are like you and I said.

I also feel like ppl think if they are a nobody they won't benefit. But some of y'all really are mad funny and bright. You could spew the same shyt on twitter and have 10K followers and a bigger audience to promote whatever move you want

Bout to be heavy on it when I pay for this LLC :ahh:

But for why I'm not on it heavily personally is because I don't like attention, I don't even like taking pictures like that unless they're to capture moments.
And when I capture moments I don't care about sharing them publicly.
If you're important to me then you'll see it.
I'm pretty private my circle is so small it's a period.

but no real talk...no troll

I don't fukk with social media...simply because I don't like it...it's too fukking whiny and shyt for me...and people take it too seriously...

I like forums better...

I like my privacy...

I like forum culture...

Forums are actually funny and entertaining...I be on this shyt while I am at a working or working on something

Social media...not really funny or entertaining...

Most of instagram I do outside of promoting and marketing bullshyt...is sliding into DMs of instagram hoes and spending that 2K for a weekend and getting some prime p*ssy...:mjcry:

Where It’s Not Safe
Another good reason is if I see enemies or exes I dont have to ever see them again

Out of sight out of mind:mjpls:

Once we breakup u cant lurk on me, im gone forever bytch!

And jobs is another big thing. Its already hard enough getting a job. Why disqualify myself cuz of a pic of me drinking a Henny waterfall off a strippers ass?

My whole personality in general is action over words. Im not a loudmouth so if i DID have social media, id have 5 photos with deep double meaning captions. No photos of every thing I do

I use to be on twitter heavy until I got banned, probably my favorite social media platform. Mostly cuz there's more opportunity to be witty, and I think I'm hilarious. I actually had a half decent following on there.

Instagram, not really on it like that I just follow a lot of people. Don't necessarily upload a lot of pics cuz all I do is go to work and go to the gym. Most of both I don't really broadcast like that, but that night change cuz I'm getting swole and I want to stunt :myman:

I use snap to keep up with my real life friends.

That's about it.

it doesnt feel natural to me. living my truth is just that...and it doesnt involve putting everything i do on blast or making a big production or big deal about regular day to day life, even if I am doing something exciting my first instinct is to enjoy it , not capture and share it

on the other side, i think its a huge distraction and honestly i think "following" people is weird and a little unhealthy. i dont see why i would take time out of my moment to watch somebody elses.

im pretty limited as to the time i spend online and what i allow into my head these days and even so im still trying to tighten it up. im trying to ween myself off my phone all together and keep it in another room when im home, never check it when i am on the street or walking, basically only check it at certain intervals or when i need it to talk to someone. endless text convos, alerts, etc... is stress inducing to me, the world can wait. matter fact once i see my dad soon im gonna grab one of those old brick iPods that doesnt have wifi/cell service and use that for my music and podcasts when i am out, instead of my phone.

i love this site. love posting on here and reading about music when im downtime at work or cant get to sleep late at night (like now).

this site, espn, and youtube for music , webseries, or other things that inspire me or teach me something...thats what my internet experience is maxed out at these days. podcasts too, especially during my commutes or doing menial shyt.

I feel you man. My thing is this, do you realize how much potential you are missing out on?

Perhaps you'd have to carry yourself different and let some things slide but it seems like a common "excuse" to avoid the painful reality that you are not of "value" socially.

Personally, I am just too lazy to stay on social media. I have stints where I'm on it heavy for months then I won't be on for months. I don't post much but I get my news on here. But I REALIZE THE IMPORTANCE.

What exactly is the importance and potential of social media? If you're not an entertainer, meh...

I've had IG before but barely posted and deleted it. I like having my privacy and I don't really care about celebrities or gossip. Only reason I could see having it is to stay in contact with close people, but anyone who's close to me has my number.

Its probably older users. people in my age range (18-22 or whatever) are on this and social media

y'all acting like it takes so much time lmao
Breh stop. I'm not acting like it takes too much time. It's really a simple conclusion.

Most people who are fulfilled in non-Amon social media typically don't spend much time on forums.

My concern is this, it's enabling. I want to see my ppl do better and myself. Thecoli is a cool place, but imagine the network we could develop if we all were non-anon. We'd have connects with black ppl around the world. And we'd own our content.

I have all the basic social media accounts and can keep in contact with people when necessary, don't really post on them often moreso because I like moving in private. Most I'll do is post some pics from vacations and club moves because I'm still around that age, but I can see why some cats just straight up don't use it.
