Very interesting. Like the African proverb, charity begins at home.
Also don't you think society's attitude towards stereotypical gender roles plays a part in that as well

Obvious. In vast segments of the culture, strong, centralized, masculine male leadership is nonexistent. That and vast amounts out of wedlock kids because of that culture.

This is partly by social engineering and media programming.

You need someone to balance out mothers who tend to be far too emotional in their responses.
