single mother hood and lack of father figure can't be the reason. black single motherhood was high in the 80s, 90s and nikkas born from 80-92 are nowhere as sassy and soft as this generation.
although they were just as emotional and moody. lowkey, alot of mid-millennial nikkas I grew up with had personality disorder and were moody but atleast they weren't as sweet and c00nish as these kids.
plus, I don't remember the suicide rate being this alarming in any other period for young black men/boys
I think it's the black pop culture playing a part too. lets be honest, blacks teenagers are more impressionable and influenced from what they see in the media than white teenagers. But then again, this could come back to the lack of two parents household compared to others? I guess I'm contradicting myself. I don't know but the future isn't looking bright.
