I'm gonna exit this thread with two quotes which exist for a reason
"You can't turn a hoe into a housewife"
"When people show you who they are, believe them"
Now you figure out how to apply them to this thread
And I'mma come back in and challenge these overused cliches.
"
You can't turn a hoe into a housewife".=: You're right.
YOU (one person) can't make ANOTHER PERSON who isn't YOU to anything. So yes, if YOU
personally try to change a person, you will fail because people have free will and can very well change if they want to
themselves. Again, this goes back to the point of seeing people as items of machinery to be controlled by humans instead of people with free will.
"When people show you who they are, believe them": Perception, perception, perception. If you're a misogynist/insecure dude, of course you're going to believe that a female having sex is bad because your point of view is of someone who wants to control. According to Zimmerman, Trayvon showed himself to be a burglarizing, dangerous thug. Are you saying that he was right in believing such?
Stop repeating shaming language created by old, overly-oppressing white men. Not to get overly serious, but the same logic many of you present about women, is the same logic used to profile black men and to further develop a racist prison system ("Can't change criminals. If you follow him, he'll fukk up again", "If he looks like a thug to you, he is one and should be profiled, Stop n Frisk").
I got a better saying "Stop worrying about judging other people."
