Idk but she was extra mad because she works in the art sector. She hates her job now and with multiple interviews she thought she might finally be out of her situation but they emailed her saying they were going with another candidate.


It’s salaried in art too so I’m sure the jobs are super competitive. It’s my girls home girl not sure exactly what she does, but with a 4 year art degree she can’t be too picky and has to stay put in a job she hates.

Know a girl who did 4 interviews and ain’t get the job

This ain’t shyt.

I had ~25 interviews (not including HR phone screens) for 5 different roles with just ONE FAANG company.

Each time, got to the final round of interviews. Didn’t get any of them bytches. So basically, got as far as you can go without getting a job offer. Massive waste of time and energy. All these interviews are intense, 45 min behavioral / case / presentation interviews.

And before y’all say, “I would have quit after the first rejection”, “nikka your dumb af to keep interviewing after they kept playing you”, etc. — these roles pay $250k+ TC and I interview so well, the recruiters kept pushing me to other roles.

The recruiters would be like “your interview feedback was stellar, you got all “hires” but the team just went with the other candidate.”

Because of that last part, I know there was definitely racism and discrimination at play, and not just a coincidence.

No way a Cac, Asian or Indian with my credentials, experience and interview ability is going 0 for 5.

I don’t even get excited about getting interviews no more, no matter the company. So I’m completely jaded with the job hunting bullshyt and gonna turn my attention to building my own business.

Silence after final interviews, at least give some kind of update after 2 weeks even if I got rejected

For some companies when you upload the resume you still have to manually fill out all the information

Entry level roles asking for 3-4 years of experience

Having 3-4 rounds of interviews

Emailing hiring managers with thank you after interviews

The whole process of looking for a job and getting hired is trash and needs to be updated

Thankfully tech companies for the most part are not doing this. I mention tech companies cause virtually those are the main companies being created.

When you apply you just upload your resume and hit send. Takes 2 minutes.

I had an interview with a recruiter last week and she saw that I'm also interviewing for a different company within this big company and told me to email her after I have the interview with another company if I still want to proceed with the interview process. I emailed her the next day after the interview that I would still like to proceed with the interview because I rather have more options when it comes to getting hired and it's been a week and she still hasn't hit me back

I remember when I graduated and ain’t know how the game worked, a lot of spots wanted you to have a license in that state, and weren’t trying to help you move, and they wanted you to stop by their office aka check you out,

Then when i got my IL license, i remember riding all around the greater Chicago area getting jerked around, i remember it being like 3 interviews for this one company and they were spread tf out, for them to on the last interview ask if i wanted to do independent contract(pay them for the space, to churn my own practice out their office) i was like wtf

Some of them spots played mind games about pay, trying to trick you, well how much would you want to see if you would be too high or short yourself (i learned, what i want and what you can do, are two separate things, i can want a million dollars but that may not be feasible, so tell me what you can do) a lot of the shyt I’ll probably hang up on nikkas for or not call back i went for all that bs

I’m glad I’m a lot better at this shyt now, and can sniff the bs, i try to school the black rookies coming up in the game how to get over on that clown shyt, whenever I talk to any

How long do you guys wait for an offer after the final interview?

For one job it's been 3 weeks already, so I'm losing hope

Another it's been 2 and the recruiter said I should get an update next week hopefully

and last 2 jobs I interviewed for last week just passed one week mark
