Truthfully the reputation system needs to go. Daps are understandable because those are just like Facebook likes but the rep system is just digital currency that has no real value.

If anything it's subtly used to keep users in check from saying what they really want to say or going against the grain because they'll be banded with a scarlet letter which the rest of the community will automatically be made aware of.
