She’s an American-born Korean in real life, and is supposed to be a Hong Kong immigrant. When she spoke, she would speak in her regular tongue and it seemed like midway through the sentence she would remember “hey I’m supposed to be from Hong Kong” and do a terrible accent.

It was distractingly awful.

John Malkovich’s accent in Rounders was so bad it was good. He’s hilarious in it.
