Pops told me when I was asking what credit is when growing up "If you don't have the cash to buy anything outright, don't buy it."

Mines was easily taking out a payday loan lol.

I got a cut from a class action lawsuit settlement years later but those loans were the worst.


In hindsight I don't regret anything because it was done out of necessity. I never balled out on anything stupid that I can regret otherwise.

For me, just taking too long to get serious with my money. Having a savings plan, investing plan etc. Essentially being intentional with how I spend my money. For about 18 months since I graduated college and started working I wasn't really taking good account of the money was making.

I BOUGHT A BRAND NEW CAR AT 18 WHILE WORKING AT KMART. I WAS SINKING MY WHOLE INCOME INTO DRIVING A CAR. THAT shyt GOT OLD QUICK. ENDED UP SELLING IT AT A LOSS AND RIDING THE BUSS WHILE I PAID OFF THE DIFFERENCE.

Lending money / jewelry to so called friends and never seeing a cent back. Family never paid me back either come to think of it lol. Music. No regrets though. You live and you learn.

I dont like putting too much of my personal shyt out there, but I will say if your'e a young man and you working/getting yours, theres no need for you to be with a single mother (no matter how fine she is), all that energy, time, finances could be geared towards yourself instead of someone else and their child.
