Inspired by the 401k thread. I know that most people have taken an L on at least one investment
I lost about 2k when an oil stock cut its dividend in half
What was in the rest of the portfolio. How much was invested in total?

Bought it around 22 and sold it at around 15
It wiped out my gains for the past year. Although now I'm trying to not make any stupid investments and things are starting to look better.

I just took a 2k hit today because apple just reported dissapointing earnings. I have owned and kept a few shares as a small portion of my portfolio with the intention of holding them for a very long time. I might now have to throw those shares in the bushes
