I really can't wait to hear this track in particular.

If its a diss I'm pretty sure camel has something to do with it.

INB4 Ether 2.0

Let's be real here please. J.Cole would NEVER on a million years "diss" Nas. Secondly Jay-Z would not in a million years be "behind" one of his successful young artists committing career suicide in that manner:childplease:

The song sounds like a personal track about what it feels like to have one of your musical idols voice displeasure over a musical decision you made, from what we know of ole as an artist and from his music it'll probably be a dope track, but diss? Nah, that's impossible

Rappers talk about what they know. J.Cole graduated from college before he got his deal, that's the life he lived, just because Kanye had similar experiences doesn't necessarily give him a patent on the subject matter.

Besides Kanye's theme was using dropping out of college as a means to prove that his dream was bigger than family/society's expectations of him as he wasn't a gangster rapper. Cole's theme was using the entire experience of leaving his home, going to college, and eventually graduating as his own metaphor for growth, experience, and maturity. They both went about it in different ways

And Cole's song can't be a "Big Brother" song as Cole was never signed too nor mentored by Nas. It would be more of coming from a fan's perspective than anything

but its obvious nas got a serious problem understanding whats a hit and what isnt.

Honestly if he chooses to make a record like The Don over a record like Workout then I'm perfectly fine with him being completely clueless about what it takes to make a hit in this era.

Plus making a hit now is so full of comprimise in an era where EDM and pop stars get play on "urban stations", all we say is how impressive it is versus how good the song really is. I look forward to you expanding on it in your blog:
