I was always curious to see the thoughts of this promotion on this side of town:lupe:. For what it's worth, I dig the old school Saturday morning wrasslin shyt they are trying to accomplished. However, the weirdness behind the scenes make me feel some type of way about the company:whoa: (Carny as fukk). I'm still dumbfounded that they shut down the company for a friggin year kayfabe wise:dahell:. But yeah, King of Trios>>>>Survivor Series.

It has its lane.

It's been around for 15 years, so you have to respect that and they had a show in the UK last weekend. But it's always been behind ROH and CZW (had the hardcore wrestling fanbase) in the early days and in recent years PWG have over taken them as well out of the other well known Indies that were around in the early 2000's and who are still going today.

The longer they're around the better it is for the business.

Yeah I dig it. I like the fact that they take the storylines extremely seriously which speaks volumes compared to most promotions (ahem WWE). Yet, the fact that they are so stuck in their own ways will keep them in that coc00n which is pretty sad. Especially, when most wrestling fans want a fun alternative to all of this serious shyt in the business currently.

They were kinda starting to build good momentum and steam up until they shut down for a year. I was checking for them, the Trios Tournaments and Young Lions Cup were getting a lot of attention, especially the Generico/123 Kid match. They never really got that back after the shut down

Chikara is the wrestling equivalent of a cult. While their leaders want you to smile and pretend everything is HAPPY anf FUN there are some shady things happening backstage. Mainly because Mike Quackenbush is a known scumbag.

-Fired Kodama for swearing in a match. God forbid you get kicked in the face and drop a "FUKK".
-Allegedly slept with Hania the Huntress (known in their universe as the masked Saturyne), his wife and Chikara's financial supporter, causing the company to shut down for a year. They called it an angle, but who in their right mind closes his company for that.
-Sent e-mails to the whole roster publicly critizicing the wrestlers for their matches.

And that's from the top of my head, I'm sure there's more. I used to like King of Trios because you have interesting teams from all over the world (check out 2009 if you can, it's awesome) but even that is trash now.

Like they were actually gaining steam during the indie wave and Chikarasaurus was getting attention. Yet, the dikkhead decided to shut down the company because wrestling:rudy:. Now the attendance is the equivalent of a basement church congregation:camby:

:camby:The lineup for this year's Trios is kinda trash tbh. I was expecting some random teams like from back in the days. Like how they had 123 Kid and a few others in one event. Besides the Joshi team and BSS, meh:ld:.
