1st point: If those countries suddenly had to absorb large populations of Blacks you'd see racial strife ensue.
2nd point: It stands to reason that if BM have no power, it would have an effect on BW. Not sure why you think it's some type of startling revelation when it's just plain ole common sense. The difference is that as a BW I have never felt the actions or opinions of BM had any effect on whatever life goals I wanted to accomplish. Those roadblocks would come from other men who do have the power. That's the way it works when you live in and have to rely on another culture to supply you with a livelihood.

I'm not in competition with black men so why should I care about my power vis a vis black man? I ain't the one. Power is for men to wield in order to protect me and my children. I know a small bit of history. I know that when the men have been vanquished the women and children are reduced to slavery.

Black music is black peoples cultural brain trust. Our music and our culture is the largest American export. Our culture is in more countries than democracy. You can minimise it's importance and impact all you want until they take away from us and 50 years later The Beatles and The Rolling Stones is more synonymous with Rock and Roll and not Chuck Berry and Ike Turner and co. (who may have recorded the first Rock and Roll record).

I'm not sure it's over media consumption. It's the perception that's destructive. The perception that as an example black music can still be black without black women. The community doesn't need to go into action to preserve black women. So long as black men are still present in music for instance, black women can be interchanged with pawgs, mixed chicks, Latinas (cause you know they kinda black) etc. Now to bring it back to my point, the endangered black man becomes the cause célèbre of all black people. therefore to be black is to have an strange preoccupation for all things black and male even if you have a coochie.
