Nothing wrong with a long movie, think of The GodFather, Pulp Fiction, Schindlers List and many other classics that clock over 2 hours.
The problem with something like Transformers or a Judd Apatow comedy is that the story never justifies the length, action movies and comedies are kinda dumb but fun. 1hr30mins is as long as any comedy should be. I can't think of any truly great comedies longer than that. Transformers is fukking trash to begin with anyway.

The Raid 2? that was 2 hr and 30 mins?there's barely a story there.
i'm watching Raid 2 right now & it's an amazing fukking movie. if you like Martial Arts movies AT ALL this should be in your top 5 all time off first watch. amazing fight & action sequences. it's basically an Indo Martial Arts version of The Departed which makes it better IMO

Like Wolf of Wallstreet, I was thoroughly entertained for the entire 3 hours. Seemed like the quickest 3 hours of my life. Other than that, I mostly agree with OPI dunno, if the story´s good and all that I dont mind long movies at all

that´s what I mean, the godfather flix wolf of wallstreet shawshank redemption all those movies were great to me allthough they was long as fukk.. but I couldnt watch a hangover for three hours

i think people been complaining about more for their money.. you paying for a 12 dollar ticket... plus 2-3-4-5 for you and your girl and the fam.. 20 in snacks and drinks and popcorn... dammit i'm not trying to be back on the street in an hour and a half and shyt
a lot of older movies were short because of budget.. and the movie theaters were cheap.. remember 4.25 matinee's.. or 2 months after the movie was out, you could catch it at the dollar theater... yea all that shyt is dead
plus the way older movies were written were different... maybe budget.. you know you have more time to tell the story.. but it seems like older movies just started, you got the plot during the story... then when the end was over (bad guy dead, good guy got girl, family reunited) the credits rolled... immediately
now it's like a voiceover or words posted... then a 30 intro to every character and what's going on.... then the actual movie... then another 10-20 minutes tacked on to explain every detail of what happens to each character when the main plot is finished

I heard Tony Jaa is gonna be the villain in the 3rd one....That's the good news....The bad news is they are thinking about doing a American remake of The Raid....

tony jaa vs Iko Uwais would be amazing! Only bad thing would be my boy Tony Jaa losing because they couldn't have the villain beat Rama in a Raid movie but it would the kitchen fight x 100
