Depends on the brokeness, if you are broke because you have no education, skills or worthwhile job experience: then that type of broke is legit top 10 worst experiences on earth as a grown 25+ man, but if your just in-between jobs then being a fat fukk is worse.

When you’re obese it takes years to get back to a normal weight. Dating options are horrible if you dont have bread, even fat women don’t want fat guys. Buying clothes is a hassle and it’s hard to look fresh. People make bad assumptions about you which hurts social and job opportunities. Not even getting into the wide array of health problems that comes with obesity.

If I had to choose as a young working professional, I’d rather get laid off and move back in with my folks for 3-4 months than be 300 pounds. The amount of effort just to bounce back wouldn’t be worth it.

Define worse?

Obesity is a result of consuming more calories than you're burning off.

A SMALL percentage of people in this world have genetic disorders that prevent them from being a healthy weight.

When you're broke you might not even know where your next meal might come from.

I’ve been both at the same time and to be honest being broke sucks way more.

Being broke means you can’t even buy the shyt needed to help you lose weight (Healthier foods, gym memberships, etc). That makes the weight loss journey way harder.

The stress of being broke makes you not want to do anything. You don’t even want to do shyt because poverty makes you lethargic.

What’s worse for one’s self-esteem?

From my experience, I was broke fresh out of college and I got fat during COVID. Both experiences humbled me but one thing I will say, you realize how shallow the world is when you’re overweight.

Even when I was broke, I still had my health and self-esteem. You have neither when you’re fat. People almost want to avoid engaging with you. And the physical ailments? Even though I only gained 30lbs regular shyt was a lot harder to do.

I can live with being broke again because money comes and goes. I could never allow myself to get fat again after being in shape for 95% of my life. :francis:

And if you’re broke and fat…. :francis:
Health is wealth, I rather be broke, most of the world is broke but it ain’t nothing that can’t be fixed

Been both. Would rather be broke and in shape. HOWEVER...Long term this isn't good either because even if you aren't obese or unhealthy; eventually you need to go to the dentist and the doctor and if you can't afford it then you end up bad off as well.

Nah, being broke is painful.

:wow:

Being broke is not healthy or desirable

Square biz. Being broke:

  • Having to ration out food to survive throughout the week and pray you don't get hungry
  • Washing clothes with your hands or sometimes just wearing the same shyt but switching the days around with different 4 piece attire
  • Going through endless loops trying to get government assistance, while somebody that has it all manipulates the system leaving you hopeless and defeated
  • Walking for miles trying to get home because you have no car or carfare to get around
  • Getting judged by pastors and those that have it, because they have a lucky streak and forgot where they came from
  • Being so shook about money that if you are in the double digits in the bank account, it's scary hours
Been there, done that.....
