Nonsense. Stop buying poor quality meat. If you in the NE US, the best source for meaty oxtails is Costco and the Amish.

(Storytime: I went to hs in Amish country. I learned to drive with horse-drawn buggies on the road. Anyway, once my mother discovered their butchers, it was OVER. She and her 'friend' (iykyk my country people) was still driving up there years after I graduated just for them damn oxtails and neckbones. Ngl tho, they hit.)

Oxtail is overrated. For the price, you could. It a nice steak

Vegans always with their fake meat dishes makes me think they hate their diet.
Plenty of cuisines that have vegan friendly food that tastes great without trying to be meat.
Indian food comes to mind.

That's the one thing that always confuses me about vegans. Why do they make all of their dishes look like they meat they've sworn off of?!? What's the point of that

I'm really unimpressed by West Indian food in general. Does nothing for me. Oxtail feels like eating scraps to me.

Oxtails are good. But it's just not enough meat for the amount you pay in my opinion.

How many of yall, who aren't caribbean, grew up eating oxtail REGULARLY?
I had it before but in the last 10-15 yrs oxtail got gentrified by everybody (not just cacs)
prices soared and now people acting like oxtails was always a staple meat

I hope you don't seriously believe Caribbean were the only people in the whole wide world who used oxtail in their cuisine

My uncle's wife is Jamaican and she brought some oxtail over for Thanksgiving dinner one time. I had to get seconds and thirds

shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhiiiiiiiiiiid. My local grocery store has Steak and Oxtail on sale. Steak is 7.99/lb, Oxtail is 12.99/lb.

They say it's USDA select grade StripLoin...I'm not a huge steak person so I have no idea what that means.

That means it's gahbage
