At this time, I don’t have any. Well my mom made me an authorized user on an old navy visa, but that’s it.
If credits important to you I’d get a no annual fee card sooner or later. If you’re mom ever takes you off as an authorized user that credit history will disappear. If her credit straight you’ll prolly qualify for a decent card right now instead of being stuck with secured or student cards.

I recently got heavy into churning so im always on the look out for good cards. I dont like paying annual fees, so no cards with fees even though i churn enough to offset the cost. I think its the mental aspect of having to pay the fee I dont like.

Uber Visa - Main everyday
Discover it
Bank of America Travel Rewards
Petal Visa
- American Express Schwab Investor card
- Barclaycard Uber Visa (Visa Signature)
- Chase Freedom Unlimited (Visa Signature)
- Chase Freedom
- Chase Slate
- Discover It Cash Back
- Bank of America Travel Rewards

I'll get rid of the Slate at some point since I'm not using it. Other than lowering my credit usage ratio, I don't have any use for the Discover or BoA cards either.

I don’t encounter too many others with this same card :ohhh: which is a shame because the rewards and perks of it are dope.

My cards I usually rotate in my wallet are:
  • Amex Platinum
  • Amex Cash Magnet
  • Uber Visa
  • Discover It
  • Chase Amazon Prime
  • Citi Double Cash
  • Goldman Sachs Apple Card (which is lowkey fun to stunt with since it’s new so nobody’s really seen it too often before and looks slick :lolbron:)
The best for every day use would be the Uber Visa, Discover’s It card, or the Double Cash if anyone reading wants a recommendation. Be sure to sign up for the quarterly 5% bonuses with the Discover card, right now is 5% back at restaurants and bars till like the end of September.

I want the Capital One Savor card but I can’t get approval for it for some reason :francis: they’re strict as fukk these days

Oh I’m old and after having a financial set back and embracing the concepts of Dave Ramsey, I’m moving toward no credit score. I don’t have anything else I would borrow money for.

I’m only an authorized user because I charged on it when I was out of work, so I’m responsible for the bill. It should be paid off soon. I used to have really good credit before I was out of work though.

Ramsay has a lot of good info, He also has a lot of bullshyt. A great credit score is crucial as an adult because you never know what can/will happen.

A good credit score is mainly necessary for borrowing money. Again, I don’t see myself needing to borrow large amounts of money anymore. I already have a mortgage and cars you can save up for. Businesses can be started without loans as well.

I understand that some jobs looks at the credit, but if it came to that, I think not having a score will still be better than a low one.

Amex Gold and Everyday
Capone venture
Care credit
Barclaycard rewards (for my former job)
Chase amazon rewards

I alternate amexes depending on if I have offers and the chase is for gas and groceries. The others pretty much are just for emergencies/medical stuff.

Damn y'all got a lot of cards.

Got a capital Platinum due to no credit history and aversion to debt. Used to paying for things in full.

Now thinking of increasing credit limit or getting Quicksilver and maybe Citi Costco since I buy Costco gas religiously

What about an unexpected emergency expense?

And businesses can be started without loans but they almost always can’t be scaled/maximized without borrowing.

Thats why you have an emergency fund. My bills/debt are low and getting lower. In another two years, more than half of my income can be dedicated to saving and investing. As far as the business thing, that’s just not true. Borrowing is just the quickest way to get there.

Now granted, it’s all a process and requires discipline, and development of good financial habits, but I feel it is more beneficial to me and less invasive than borrowing money.
