Mine is about 785 in that range. Don't have much debt, maybe a few hundred in credit cards that's recurring monthly debt. I do have my brothers car on there. I been telling him to refinance. Now in September the inquiries on that get dropped so I don't know how that'll impact my score. I hope I reach 800 by 2019. I was closer a free months back but some spending dropped me down a bit. Would've had a much better score already but my fukk ups from the past hurt me. Especially not maintaining good credit and getting some cards closed that would've helped my average age of credit. Was too irresponsible.

I'm close to breaking 800 on experian but I just recently found out my sister-in-law's credit score is 800 and her financial situation is trash...so I don't know what to think anymore.

How you do it?

Got a secured card with Cap 1. I used it for basic stuff like gas or phone bill, and I paid it off every month.
Then a year later, I applied for Chase Freedom and Amex and was approved. I followed the same routine. Use cards for utilities and monthly bills, then at the month, pay them off like I was using cash. Now I don't even check anymore as it is set to Auto Pay at each statement. My balance is always 0.
