How is this stupid? You know nothing. Score and credit history is just as important as anything else.
.as a realtor I've had clients with terrible scores but great income who've had to drop the bag just to get the apartment they wanted. Some get flat out rejected. .

Had a guy who made 400k a year as a pharma exec have to drop 70k for one years rent upfront because he had a shyt credit score. They weren't going to rent to him otherwise. He had to liquidate stocks to make that up.

The crib was fly AF though. Corner unit with floor to ceiling windows and straight unobstructed views of Central Park made 6k on that deal.

You can get a 5k credit line from spending about 150 bucks, and it will show on your credit report, if you got family, ask them to be authorize user on their credit cards but you don't want a card or use the account, you just want it in file so it will raise your credit, and they're no risk to them because you're not getting a card or using the accounts

U think credit karma and the rest are giving u a “real” score but as someone said earlier subtract 65-100 pts and that’s what lenders REALLY see.

When I applied for a mortgage my score was 30 points higher than it was on Credit Karma

752, not bad......but I'd like to hit 800 just because. I've heard there's a number (somewhere between 750 and 780-ish) where the interest rates and other benefits don't really get any better.

Not sure 850 is possible unless you're rich with lots of revolving credit (cards with $100k+ maxes) and very low balance. Like 4 credit cards with $50k or more balances and like $20 on them or something.

How did that prove your point He could have had half that salary and with great credit he could've just paid on month to month basis and not had to liquidate stocks options to come up with the cash.

6'3'' 225lbs. 12% BF with a 785 score that was pulled last month to secure a mortgage.

My 17 year old cousin that works at McD's has a stellar credit score....it proves my point in that the shyt is nothing to brag about and only a fraction of the big picture on how well someone is doing.
