man, it aint the same anymore

ive always been chunky so i know my chocolate bars

what fukked up american chocolate is palm oil. basically they figured out they could use oil from palm trees to cut cocoa, so now when you get a candy bar, the chocolate doesnt taste right, its all oily and it sticks to the skin inside your mouth. i hate it

i always check the labels to make sure im not buying palm oil. for one, it tastes like shyt. for two, palm oil farms have nearly made orangutans extinct in SE asia. there was a david attenborough doc from the last five years or so, and one scene shows a single orangutan baby living by itself in the last standing tree for literal miles. her mother had already been killed by poachers. shyt fukked with me honestly. that aint even getting into the HUMAN EXPLOITATION either.

if it comes down to orangutans existing or me eating chocolate, ill gladly give up the candy. it aint worth it
