What's your favorite deli meat and trimmings for a sandwich/sub? Beef Pastrami is #1 for me...

It's lunchtime and I went to my favorite deli to get my favorite sub sandwich. A Beef Pastrami with mayo, russian dressing, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, white American cheese, and black olives (yes I love black olives on my sandwich ) with a little oil.

:ohlawd:

Roast beef used to be my favorite go-to meat for a sandwich but in the past few months, Beef Pastrami has taken the #1 spot :whew:.

Now when I say Beef Pastrami I'm referring to the cold deli version. Not the hot version served on rye.

We have a number of jewish delis in Chicago, although they are dwindling in number. The old school jewish delicatessen is probably my favorite place to eat. My favorite sandwich is corned beef piled high, on an latke (potato pancake), with a smear of sour cream, topped with fried onion strings on a twisted challah roll. Best sandwich of my life.
