Obviously some things are common sense but what would be on your list basic human rights that all people have a right to?

I believe as moral agents, we have a right to be secure in our life, liberty, and property.
These rights are not granted by government or by society:ufdup:they are inherent in the nature of being human.

 I believe the burden of explanation always lies with those who would infringe upon these.

Just off the top of my head:

Yes:

- To not be murdered
- To grow your own food on your property and to tap water wells on your own property
- Reasonably clean environment
- To not be infected by diseases by someone else
- To the property you rightfully own OR just compensation if the taker is the government

No (things that I see other people say sometimes):

- Smart phone
- Healthcare
- Anything that requires the servitude of someone else, really
- To silence people you don't agree with/"safe spaces"
- Immigrate/travel to any country you want
- Cars

access to high speed internet.

Benjamin Franklin created the public library system so that the masses would have access to information.
He did this because he knew that an educated populace would only strengthen the nation.

the internet is the modern day equivalent of the original library.

imagine if you, for whatever reason did not have access to the internet.
how would that change your life on a scale of 1-10?

now tell me that the internet is not a human right.

ehh, imagine that any crackpot wanna be artist could get a publisher to co sign their absurdity and started sneaking their books into the library :mjlol:

enter.... fake news

i'd imagine the majority of people would be far more balanced in their viewpoints if everyone actually used the library resources available

so you don't believe having the internet has improved your life despite fake news?
you don't think that people should have access to the greatest accumulation of knowledge because they might run into fake news?

the internet has infinite potential for good and bad.
but the amount of basic good that comes from it is tremendous.

paying bills
applying for jobs
weather updates

i firmly believe that internet is a human right.
