Age 42 and I'm one of those millennials that has never owned a home in my life. Bought the first new car I ever owned at age 41. That property listed is my car.

I didn't pay attention to any of this until about age 33 so before then I had almost nothing. Almost all of this was acquired in the span of about 10 years as shown by the first picture in 2016 networth was $27K. I guess 20x my networth in a decade isn't too bad but I regret wasting my 20s. If I hadn't done that I'd already be a millionaire.

Why post this. Congratulations, but I'd just as well everyone assume I'm broke.

Why not? I feel like it's interesting to see where people are at so I lead by example. I also post my individual stocks on The Boiler Room from time to time. There's people on YouTube who post their net worth.

I'm not poor or well off and TBH last year was my first year cracking making $100K in a year.

I guess I'm doing better than I thought for my age. I thought the fact that I do not own a home would put me drastically behind but The Money Guy redit says not so.

You don't have a wife or kids, you're always going to do better than your peers unless you get yourself wrapped up in car loans, some vice or are just lazy.

People with kids often live in dual income households and obviously a wife often works or contributes so I'd expect them to do better than I am. Part of the reason I don't own a home was I was a single average income for so long it was impractical to buy a home and now that I've acquired enough to buy one in the area I live it isn't an appealing purchase. Still you take me and put me in an area like NY or LA and I couldn't afford to live there. My entire net worth could probably put a down payment on a home there.
